Weekly Warm Up No. 41
Greetings my fellow Weekly Warm Uppers,
I spent a few days battling home recording for sections of a piece I’m editing right now. OMG the cicadas, lawn mowers, dog, cat, and beings that inhabit my home made it next to impossible. After days and days of failure, I managed to capture the 7 harmonics in question (after figuring out how to get a light in my house to stop humming) and quickly found out that none of them (yes, NONE OF THEM) will work.
I miss the joy (and pain) that is a recording studio. It is a gift of quiet that I have missed. You hit go on the recording and then it’s really up to you to make it happen. This week reminded me how good I’ve had it with recording projects in the past and gives me something to look forward to (among many others).
We’re on week two of our multi-speed warmup and I hope you’ve been pushed or stretched a bit outside your comfort zone with these tempos.
