Weekly Warm Up No. 4
Welcome to week 4 of the the WWU!
We’re continuing our work with right hand arpeggio patterns that have an accented note to simulate bringing out a melodic line, we’ll do a bit more work with tremolo and bursts, and work on left hand agility with our slurs.
Quarter Note set @ 80 BPM.
Right Hand Arpeggios:
(Based on this A Major Chord Progression )
Letters that are in BOLD should be accented and are also marked with an *
- ipam *
- mipa *
- amip *
- ipmp *
- mpip *
- mpap *
- apmp *
Along with a steady eighth note pattern, we’ll be adding bursts into our routine this week. The focus here is to begin experimenting with the development of speed AND relaxation with quick movements. The faster you play, the more efficient (relaxed) you need to be with your technique.
P on 5 & 3, ami on 2
Left Hand Slurs:
I’m also including some tutorials I’ve created around Arpeggios, Ascending Slurs (Hammer On’s), and Descending Slurs (Pull-Off’s).
