Page 2, Triplets and Transition


Today I found myself in a similar challenge with that of Day 11.
It was the return of the rasgueado texture against the sustained melodic line in the soprano voice.

As I’ve been documenting the process of learning this piece, it’s been a chance for me to see how I work. There’s room for improvement and as I work to embrace these new discoveries, there are nice surprises along the way. In fact, today I managed to get through the learning process faster by playing less and thinking more (Day 14). This section was up and running in 12 minutes (not that speed is the objective). It did give me more time to experiment with what I want to do with the phrase (the real work).
One last surprise from today–I inadvertently clicked the wrong button on the camera so while I taped the session, there’s no sound.
We’re all learning….together.
