New Texture, Triplets
I have been thinking about this spot for a few days and wondering how I might be interacting with the rasgueados that are suggested. My first attempts did not prove promising (to me).
The strumming of the chord figures can easily obscure the melody in the soprano voice. Still, I’ll give it a go. Maybe if I try it closer to tempo the effect will reveal itself more clearly?

Ah, Ha! No strumming–descending triplets (go back to the original version, people).
After some work exploring possible solutions, I found an approach that allows for the melody to be at the forefront AND allows me to keep the rhythmic pulse.
Rasgueados = 0, Descending Triplets = 1
Winner: Melodic line
