This was an interesting challenge to sort today. It’s a mix of chords, octaves, and an open string pedal on D. How do you make all this work, connect the melody and set up the crescendo for the rasgueado passage that follows?

Getting into and out of that G# dim chord provided me with all kinds of challenges (as you can see). As I watch the playback, I’m not giving myself enough time to evaluate what I just attempted. There are a number of times where I’m just repeating without thinking. THINK! REFLECT!
Good news, eventually I get it:
